Honors Physics is intended for motivated, well-prepared students, with a strong interest in physics. Honors Physics students should also have a good mathematics background. For Physics 9HC, students should have completed Math 21C and be taking Math 21D. (Of course, having more math than that is OK too.) If you took Physics 9HB, and your grade was a C+ or below, it is probably not a good idea for you to stay in the Honors Physics sequence. You are advised to switch to the regular sequence, Physics 9. However, because of differences in the order in which material is covred in the two courses, you need to be informed and plan carefully if you switch. If you are wondering whether you should take Physics 9HC, please discuss it with me, and we will try to choose the course that is best for you.
